How seldom we wonder at the growth of the great redwood tree from a tiny seed dropped at random on the littered floor of the forest. From one seed is grown enough wood to frame several hundred houses. The human soul has potential like this if it has the right environment. It reminds me of the parable of the mustard seed:
18Then Jesus asked, "What is the kingdom of God like? What shall I compare it to? 19It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his garden. It grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air perched in its branches." (Luke 13:18-19)
There is great potential in the seed of the redwood tree, the mustard seed, and your soul. Do you realize the kingdom of God has come to you on its way to someone else? The impact of your soul on the lives of others is determined by your belief in the kingdom of God.
The tiny mustard seed grows into the largest garden tree providing shade, refuge, and beauty. Can you make an impact for the kingdom of God like that? Believe.
